Troyes’ Australian coach Patrick Kisnorbo was fired on Sunday due to the poor results of his team, relegated to Ligue 2, the Aube club announced. “The management of ESTAC, in consultation with its shareholder, today notified Patrick Kisnorbo, the coach of the professional team, of his dismissal as a precautionary measure,” the club wrote in a press release the following day of the 1-0 defeat against Guingamp.

Arriving in November 2022 when Estac was in Ligue 1, by decision of the City Football Group, also a shareholder of Manchester City, Kisnorbo was unable to avoid relegation last year. He paid for the 17th place of his team, first relegation, and a surprise elimination in the Coupe de France against Epinal (Nationale 1). The club has not announced the name of its successor, while the Trojans travel to the Girondins de Bordeaux on Saturday.
