The awakening of Alexandre Lacazette. Man of the match. The Olympique Lyonnais scorer, suffering a severe lack of confidence since the start of the season, scored the three goals (25th, 29th, 80th) in Lyon’s victory this Sunday. Opportunistic in the opposing area, the French striker took advantage of a completely apathetic Toulouse defense with absent subscribers to find the net. The leader of this team. A performance which is good for the Rhone and for OL who are finding color thanks to their “general”.

For once, Olympique Lyonnais did not concede a goal this afternoon. The Rhone rearguard was solid and aggressive, like Jack O’Brien. Even if the Toulouse attack was more than clumsy in finishing its actions, the OL defenders were able to contain the danger well.

A real renaissance for Olympique Lyonnais this Sunday. Pierre Sage’s men took the match from the right end and showed the intensity needed to thwart this Toulouse team. The Rhone residents seemed to be less afraid than in recent matches. A benchmark match this season for the red lantern in Ligue 1.

FLOPS

Beyond having been in great difficulty in his team’s play and transparent at the forefront of the Toulouse attack (only one shot on target in 90 minutes), the Dutchman missed the penalty which could have restarted the TFC just before half-time (45th). Dallinga showed a cruel lack of confidence against Anthony Lopes who had no trouble stopping the Violet striker’s tasteless strike. Second missed penalty in a row for the Toulouse striker. We’ll have to think about changing shooters…

Carles Martinez’s men displayed a state of mind unworthy of a team which is playing for its survival in Ligue 1, in addition to that facing a direct competitor for maintenance… The Toulouse, apathetic and led throughout the meeting, did not have never knew how to get the match going and even allowed themselves certain “easy” and slightly nonchalant phases of play. Not the best way to stay in Ligue 1.
