Between João Félix and Atlético de Madrid, there is water in the gas, and it does not date from yesterday. The 23-year-old Portuguese striker does not get along with his coach, Diego Simeone. So much so that he was loaned to Chelsea in the second half of last season. Félix was at the resumption of Colchoneros training on Monday, but nothing went as planned.
As the Spanish media report, Félix was surprised to be neither with the starting team nor with that of the substitutes during the first tactical tests. The Portuguese was even filmed leaving the pitch while having a heated chat with Madrid sporting director, Andrea Berta.
Félix was already wondering what Atlético intended to do with him. He was surprised to learn that his N.7 was awarded to Frenchman Antoine Griezmann for the coming season. The rumor of an interest from PSG had leaked in Spain this summer, but RMC Sport assures that Félix is not a lead for the Parisian club. Bought for €127m from Benfica in 2019, Félix had extended his contract for a year following his loan to Chelsea. He is tied to Atlético until 2027.
