Atlético Madrid announced on Monday the signing of young Spanish striker Samu Omorodion (19), on a five-year contract from Granada.

Spanish media have reported that Atlético have activated the striker’s release clause, which stands at six million euros. Omorodion made his league debut for Granada on August 14 against season opener Atlético and scored his side’s goal in a 4-1 loss.

The young rookie “is a physical prodigy with great coordination despite his height of 1.93m. He stands out for his explosiveness, his speed and his sense of goal,” said Atlético on its website. According to Spanish media, Omorodion is set to be loaned out this season.
