Burnley innovates. English second division champions, the club coached by Vincent Kompany, promoted to the Premier League, announced the arrival of a new recruit in a rather surprising way. It was with the credits of the animated television series (late 1990s) “The Teletubbies”, that Burnley formalized the arrival of young Swiss striker Zeki Amdouni (22) for five seasons.
Amdouni leaves FC Basel where he had been on loan from Lausanne since June 2022. Semi-finalist of the Europa League Conference (eliminated by Fiorentina) Amdouni and Basel eliminated OGC Nice. Author of a promising season which revealed him to the eyes of Europe, the Swiss international hopeful (with whom he played the Euro) scored 22 goals in 52 games in all competitions last season with Basel.
