This is anything but a surprise, but the formalization was long awaited. After a year of waiting, Milan Skriniar, Slovak international defender (28 years old, 60 caps), joins PSG until June 30, 2028.
Priority of Luis Campos and Parisian leaders for a few months now, Skriniar arrives free from Inter Milan, where he played 246 games. His power, warrior mentality and charisma in the dressing room were criteria targeted by the club, which presented new coach Luis Enrique to the press on Wednesday. The Parisian rearguard conceded a record number of goals for a French champion, 40, the worst total for twenty years (41 goals for OL version 2003).
PSG already wanted to bring in Skriniar last summer but were put off by Inter Milan’s asking price of around 70 million euros. Rebelote this winter, this time with 20 million euros required. The Slovak finally signs free this summer after the end of his contract in Italy.
“I am very happy to be part of this wonderful club,” said the player. PSG are one of the strongest clubs in the world with world-class players and fantastic fans. This first formalization launches the PSG transfer window. Others are expected, such as those of Lucas Hernandez, Manuel Ugarte or Marco Asensio.
