Ainsley Maitland-Niles has signed a four-year contract, until 2027, with OL, the Ligue 1 club announced on Monday, while his contract with Arsenal expired in June.

The 25-year-old, who has made more than 130 appearances in all competitions for his boyhood club Arsenal, joins former team-mate Alexandre Lacazette in France. Maitland-Niles struggled to get playing time at the Gunners in the 2021/2022 season before being loaned out to AS Roma and Southampton.

He made his debut for the England national team in 2020 and made five appearances that year, but hasn’t played for Gareth Southgate’s side since.
