Nantes midfielder Marcus Coco, at the end of his contract, finally extended for two seasons, with an optional third, the Yellow and Green club announced in a press release on Tuesday.
Arrived from Guingamp in 2019, Coco has been little used in recent seasons. Thus, he only started six L1 matches last year. But he played an important role in the sprint for the maintenance at the finish of Pierre Aristouy.
Confirmed on the bench, the new coach can therefore still count on this versatile 27-year-old player, a right winger capable of playing in all positions in attack but also as a side defender.
In the club’s press release, Coco said he was “relieved” and spoke of a “new momentum”: “Despite the first four mixed years, I am determined to return the confidence granted by the management and the coach”, a- he assured.
