Bryan Zaragoza signed a five-season contract with Bayern Munich at the beginning of December from July 1, 2024, and was to finish the season in his club Granada, currently 19th and in the fight for maintenance in the Spanish first division. But to compensate for the absences of French internationals Kingsley Coman (affected external ligament of the left knee) and German Serge Gnabry (in the recovery phase), Bayern brought forward the arrival of Zaragoza to this winter.
Bayern managed to reach an agreement with Granada to allow Zaragoza’s loan until June 30, before the Spaniard signed up for five seasons with Bayern on July 1, for a transfer estimated at 17 million euros, four more than initially planned. Bryan Zaragoza could debut in his new Munich colors on Saturday (3:30 p.m.), when he hosts Borussia Mönchengladbach on the 20th day of the Bundesliga.
Author of six goals and two assists in 21 La Liga matches this season, Zaragoza celebrated his first selection with La Roja on October 12, four days after scoring a double against FC Barcelona. With the signing of the winger, Bayern records its third recruit of the winter transfer window after the arrival of English defenders Eric Dier and French Sacha Boey.
German champion for the last eleven seasons, Bayern Munich is currently second in the Bundesliga (47 points) two lengths behind Bayer Leverkusen, whom it will meet on February 10 for a crucial duel in the title race. In the Champions League, the Bavarian club will challenge the Italians Lazio of Rome on February 14 and March 5.
