Valère Germain in France, it’s over. At the age of 33, the striker signed a two-year contract with Australian club Macarthur FC, based in Sydney. He will therefore evolve in the Australian first division, his first experience outside France. Germain, who passed through Monaco, Nice, Marseille and Montpellier, joined a club created in 2017.
On the club’s website, he explains: “It’s my first experience of playing in another country, so I’m very happy and excited to be here in Australia. I want to show my qualities and help the team. I played 13 years in the first division in France and this experience will help the club and the players. I am a striker who can score, who can help but I like to defend and help the team. I want to meet the fans soon and I want to give them a great season in the A-League, the Australian Cup and the AFC Cup.”
