French fighter Benoit Saint Denis returns to the cage. The “God of War” is on the bill for UFC 299 organized by the most prestigious MMA league on the night of Saturday March 10 to Sunday March 11, in Miami. He faces the American Dustin Poirier, living legend of the discipline and current number 3 in the world lightweight rankings (less than 70 kilos).

Benoit Saint Denis remains in an exceptional year in 2023 with three fights won before the limit against Bonfim, Moises and Frevola. Enough to offer him the opportunity to fight Poirier. “The Diamond” is famous for having beaten Irishman Conor McGregor twice but remains defeated last July against his compatriot Justin Gaethje. A victory would place Benoit Saint Denis as a serious contender for the belt.

UFC 299 can be followed on RMC Sport 2 this Friday March 9, 2024, from 11:30 p.m. The Benoit Saint Denis vs Poirier fight should only start around 4:00 a.m. on the morning of Saturday March 10.
