At the Accor Arena (Bercy)

Complicated fight for Yves Landu. If the public thought he was close to ending the fight in the first round with ground strikes, Jonas Bilharinho had to be counted on to show resilience. It was a good thing for him because from the second round the Brazilian was able to better manage the distance, take the Frenchman’s back and gradually return to the fight.

Despite the Brazilian’s desire to fight in the last round, Yves Landu was able to slightly escape the fight at the best moments to avoid any disappointment. The judges finally, after a few minutes of consultation, designated the Frenchman the winner by split decision.

At 37, Yves Landu continues his Bellator streak of five consecutive victories in the world organization. But above all, he won the hearts of the French and international public by putting on a show before, during and after the fight. “I am surprised by the split decision,” the fighter still conceded, thinking he had largely won, before leaving the cage after a few somersaults.

The Snake Team fighter now has 21 wins and 9 losses.

With this defeat, the Brazilian presents a record of 11 victories, 3 defeats (if decision to say that it is the first) and a draw.
