The Spaniard Jorge Martin (Ducati-Pramac), second in the MotoGP world championship, won the Japanese Grand Prix on Sunday, ahead of the championship leader, the Italian Francesco Bagnaia (Ducati), 2nd after a GP interrupted mid-race by heavy rain on the Motegi track.
Six-time Spanish MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez (Honda), third, completes the podium. Overall, Martin is only three points behind reigning champion Bagnaia (316 against 319).
