Troubles are piling up for Neymar. Seriously injured in the knee, the Brazilian was assigned to the industrial tribunal of Saint-Germain-en-Laye by an undocumented Brazilian woman, revealed Le Parisien this Wednesday. The domestic worker, aged 35, accuses the former PSG striker of hidden work seven days a week between January 2021 and October 2022. Supporting documents, the woman claims that she would have been paid in cash by the player, who then played in the capital club and lived in his house in Bougival.
“Neymar exploited our client’s precariousness to impose unworthy working conditions on her, in violation of the basic rules of labor law,” the plaintiff’s lawyers, Caroline Toby and Vincent Champetier, explain to Le Parisien. The latter indicate that they have sent a registered letter to Neymar to resolve the situation amicably, without response for the moment.

Recording her hours in a small notebook, the Brazilian worked 60 hours a week, or 20 hours more than the conventional working time for a domestic worker. In addition, she accuses the Seleção star of having forced her to come to work until 15 days before the premature birth of her fourth child, the player giving her no news afterwards. The employee is claiming 368,000 euros from her while the Parisian newspaper also mentions a “hellish pace”, “non-payment for overtime” and “the absence of paid leave and medical follow-up”.
Now under contract with the Saudi club Al-Hilal, far from Paris, Neymar therefore risks criminal sanctions. One of its representatives responsible for its communication, Day Crespo, contacted by Le Parisien, did not wish to comment on the matter.
