“Our difficulties are not related to a system issue. We started well but we quickly lost easy balls. From there, we were cut in half and the rival was dangerous on the counter-attacks. We were really very separated, with the four offensive players very far from the others who were in their camp. And defensively, we arrived too late on the ball. In the first half we had a bad organization, too many lost balls and Brest was better. It is linked to movements and the occupation of spaces. These ball losses took us out of the game. It’s the first time we’ve done this. Pau Lopez also kept us alive in the first half, when the rival was superior. It was better in the second half and after the second goal, we were the OM we want to be, with less loss of balls, more precision, players closer to each other… If we had been bad all along, I’d be worried. We have a lot of chances. What we lack is continuity when attacking and having less loss of balls. We saw that when we managed to combine, to make five or six passes, we created danger. I knew for sure that the first half was the worst we’ve played and we knew the second would be better. That’s what happened.”
