Many times announced, the sale of Olympique de Marseille by the American Frank McCourt is on the verge of happening. Journalist at Canal, David Berger spoke of an advanced sales project on the set of the encrypted channel.

“A quick word about Marseille, we talk about it a little less but behind the scenes things are working on the sale of the club. We talk about it very, very little and yet, it is getting closer. Saudi Arabia would be interested in buying the club. We’re talking about €400 million and a €200 million budget for recruiting,” said the channel’s top reporter.

“And it might be for January. It’s happening quickly and perhaps the events that happened last weekend may have served to speed things up. McCourt perhaps wants to sell and if there is the price that is set, around €400M so, it could happen faster than expected” continued David Berger while OM welcomes Lille this Saturday evening ( 9:00 p.m.).

At the end of September, France Bleu Provence affirmed that Zinedine Zidane had given his agreement to the Saudi kingdom to become manager in the event of a takeover in the coming months.
