Rowers Claire Bové and Laura Tarantola, Tokyo Olympic vice-champions in lightweight rowing, won the Olympic quota for the 2024 Paris Olympics on Tuesday.

Bové and Tarantola won the final of the Olympic regatta in Lucerne (Switzerland) which offered the last two places for the Paris Olympic Games.

The duo delivered a race full of authority to beat the Greeks Dimitra Kontou and Zoi Fitsiou, second at 2 sec 51/100.

Only fourth, the Italian Olympic champions Valentina Rodini and Federica Cesarini, who were ahead of them by 49/100 in 2021 in Japan, will not row in the Olympic basin of Vaires-sur-Marne this summer.
