Three days after leaving Marseille, the Olympic flame returned to Bouches-du-Rhône (13) to complete its first visit to the PACA region, this Sunday. The day before, this Saturday, residents of the Alpes de Haute-Provence were able to see it between Moustiers Sainte-Marie and Manosque. Former swimmer Esther Baron notably carried the Olympic torch in the last stopover city of the route.

This Sunday, the journey of the Olympic flame will begin in Cassis, at 8:40 a.m., on the edge of the Calanque de Port-Miou, then pass through Miramas, Aix-en-Provence, Port-Saint Louis du Rhône, Istres and Eygalières. She will finish her Sunday race in Arles, on the banks of the Rhône, on the Quai Lamartine between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.

This passage will be marked by a collective relay of the French volleyball federation in Arles, with Laurent Tillie, former coach of the French men’s team, winner of the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo. Badista Emma Reymond, the bronze medalist in artistic swimming in Sydney in 2022, Virginie Dedieu and the famous French drag queen Nicky Doll will also carry the torch this Sunday.
