After Marseille, this Wednesday and Thursday, the Olympic flame traveled across the Var, from Saint-Raphaël to Toulon, via Hyères and Brignoles in the center of the department. Carine Galli, sports journalist, Charles Berling, screenwriter and the president of the Toulon rugby club, Bernard Lemaître carried the flame, as did many anonymous people.
This Saturday, the flame will go to the department slightly further north, the Alpes de Haute-Provence (04), leaving from Moustiers Sainte-Marie at 9 a.m. It will then pass through Sisteron, Digne-les-Bains, Colmars-Les-Alpes, Forcalquier, Barcelonette, before finishing its journey at the Jean Salobert stadium in Manosque around 7:30 p.m.
Adellne Bilal, para-triathlon world vice-champion, Héline de Souza, ultra-trail runner and organizer of the Digne-les-Bains Trail, cheerleader Virginie Verrouil and former swimmer Esther Baron will be among the torchbearers for this Saturday May 11.
