Raheem Sterling, Chelsea striker (after 4-1 win at Burnley, BBC): “I wouldn’t say I have anything to prove. We started well and conceded a goal, but we continued to play and build. We were disappointed to be behind but it shows that we are not giving up. We are building foundations and making progress week after week. Even before conceding a goal, I wanted to attack my opponent as soon as I had the opportunity and I was able to do so on multiple occasions. The supporters come here even if we are not at the peak of what we should be doing. They see what the coach and the players are trying to do and the steps we are taking. We just want to be connected to them, continue to win for them and make them smile.”

Mauricio Pochettino, Chelsea coach (to BBC): “I’m really satisfied because the players deserve the victory. We haven’t had what we deserved since the start of the season. But today was a solid performance. (…). We are a young team, with so many new players in the team, we have to build confidence and structure in the team. We are playing well but we need to improve and be confident in front of goal. (On Sterling). I’m happy because I think he needs to shake the nets, he’s a player with experience who can bring a lot to the team.
