Manchester United announced this Wednesday that the American company Qualcomm Technologies, through its Snapdragon brand, would be its new jersey sponsor from the 2024-2025 season.

Snapdragon will replace the German TeamViewer brand on the Red Devils jersey, under a deal the amount of which has not been made public but which is expected to reach 60 million pounds (around 70 million euros) per year, according to media.

If its amount were confirmed, this agreement with Qualcomm, which had already been among the important partners of the Mancunian club since last season, would equal or even exceed the record for a jersey sponsorship agreement in the history of football.

“Manchester United has entered into an expanded agreement with Qualcomm Technologies, which will see its famous jersey feature the Snapdragon logo for home and away matches as well as on the third jersey of its men’s and women’s teams,” wrote the club in a press release.

Manchester United, third in the last championship and winner of the League Cup, have not won the Premier League since the departure of their historic manager, Alex Ferguson.

The club’s American owners, the Glazer brothers, have just postponed their proposed sale, on which negotiations had started at the end of 2022.
