Provence Rugby, surprising leader of Pro D2, fell 31-7 Thursday evening in Agen in an advanced match of the 19th day, a setback after a series of three successes.

The Aix club remains in the lead with 57 points but finds itself under threat from Vannes and Béziers, who are only two points behind. The Bretons will host Aurillac (7th, 43 pts) on Friday while Béziers will go to Montauban (10th, 37 pts). Thanks to its victory, the 9th of the season, Agen temporarily returns to 9th place, overtaking Dax, Grenoble and Montauban.

The Agenais led 18-0 at half-time thanks in particular to two tries scored by winger Iban Etcheverry (18th) and center Clément Garrigues (40th), then 24-0 at the hour mark.

A converted try from Aix third row Jessy Jegerlehner (61st) did not shake Agen, who scored a third try four minutes from the end of the match.
