The good news for Parisian supporters is that contact is not broken between their club and Kylian Mbappé. The bad news is that it looks like a dialogue of the deaf. According to the newspaper L’Équipe, Paris Saint-Germain is skating in the file of the captain of the French team. The latter has until July 31 to exercise the option in his contract, which would extend it until June 2025. Otherwise the lease will expire in one year.

Mbappé, 24, has warned PSG that he will not exercise this option, but that he does not see himself leaving this summer either. In other words, he would go free next summer. As of July 5, PSG still refuses to consider such a hypothesis. He prefers to sell Mbappé right away, to establish his authority and also to pocket a nice sum. PSG’s finances are not looking good, and giving up on a (big) transfer fee would be a bad experience. Follow the transfer window on our dedicated page this Wednesday.
