The FFR has communicated the list of players summoned for the preparation course for the France 7 men’s team in Marcoussis, from this Tuesday to Friday. The captain of Stade Toulousain and the XV of France is one of them. A first for him, with a view to his participation in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

He will then participate in other courses, but not in the next stage of the world 7s circuit in Perth, Australia, from January 26 to 28. Antoine Dupont will begin his adventure during the World Rugby Seven Series stopovers in Vancouver (Canada), the weekend of February 23, then in Los Angeles the weekend of March 3.

The captain of the Blues will therefore miss the next Six Nations Tournament with the French XV, which will begin on February 2 with an explosive France-Ireland at the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille.

Antoine Dupont, expected at the end of the day this Tuesday, will however only participate in this training this Wednesday January 3, before joining his club on Thursday. The scrum half is in fact one of the eight Toulouse players left off for the trip to La Rochelle last weekend and who returned to training this Tuesday with Stade Toulousain in preparation for the reception of Lyon on Saturday evening in as part of the 12th day of Top 14.

In addition to Antoine Dupont, Thomas Ramos, Anthony Jelonch, François Cros, Richie Arnold, Alexandre Roumat, Matthis Lebel and Pita Ahki were present.
