World Rugby has appointed the referees for the quarter-finals of the World Cup. Ben O’Keeffe will be on the whistle for France-South Africa on Sunday evening. A reunion in the competition since the New Zealander had already refereed the group match against Uruguay. A complicated success for the Blues, 27 to 12, sanctioned 15 times by this referee who has the advantage of speaking French. He also refereed the clash between South Africa and Ireland (defeat of the Springboks, sanctioned 11 times).
Frenchman Mathieu Raynal will referee the quarter-final between England and Fiji and South African Jaco Peyper Wales-Argentina. The other clash between Ireland and New Zealand will be led by Englishman Wayne Barnes.
