The recipe had worked for the Blues of Didier Deschamps in Qatar, it now benefits the Blues of Fabien Galthié. The French XV has decided to collaborate with the company Reeplay, based in Castres, to facilitate real-time video analysis during training sessions during the Rugby World Cup. The goal? Be at the service of video coaching so as to be able to resolve certain player errors by giving them instructions in real time using large screens directly on the field. This initiative is that of Emmanuel Guillot who decided to file a patent in 2011 to facilitate the work of coaches and video analysts of professional clubs with their players. “It’s really a field tool developed to instantly review a gesture, an action with screens that can be placed in direct sunlight and which are waterproof,” summarizes the founder of Reeplay.

This former athlete, passionate about rugby and golf, always wanted to provide a solution to video coaching to make it more effective. The French XV during its preparation in Capbreton and the French football team in Qatar praised the system.

The Reeplay company wants to stand out through the quality of the equipment offered, which works perfectly regardless of the weather conditions. Easy to use, these screens have been adopted by many professional clubs and won over. Football clubs, like OL and Brentford (Premier League), or rugby clubs, like Castres Olympique, but also nations like France and Japan during this World Cup.

The feedback has been very positive, with players emphasizing its ease of understanding. “Castres Olympique gave us feedback recently, confirming that the players understood more easily and quickly what was being asked of them in certain sequences,” says Emmanuel Guillot. The company operates on a case-by-case basis in its deliveries since no price is indicated on its website. Each club or federation receives a personalized quote based on its needs, which vary according to very specific and technical parameters. A 55-inch screen can cost around 15,000 euros.
