Inter Milan quietly won 2-0 on Monday evening on the lawn of Cagliari at the end of the second day of the Italian championship, offering their second victory of the season. In the standings, Simone Inzaghi’s players form with AC Milan, Naples and Hellas Verone the quartet of teams with two wins in two days. On goal difference, Milan lead the way. Naples, the defending champion, follows, just ahead of Inter.

In Cagliari on Monday evening, the Interists only needed half an hour to take shelter. Denzel Dumfries opened the scoring in the 21st minute with a cross shot from the right. The Dutchman was kicked into the box by Marcus Thuram, who collected the ball from 35 yards out.

Lautaro Martinez doubled the lead less than ten minutes later, controlling a serve from left-back Federico Dimarco and hooking before cocking a precise shot. With three goals in two matches, the Argentinian striker joins Olivier Giroud (AC Milan) and Victor Osimhen (Naples) at the top of the scoring charts.
