Italian international Manuel Locatelli has extended his contract with Juventus Turin until 2028, the most successful club in Italian football announced on Thursday.

Locatelli, 25 years old and trained at AC Milan, joined Juve in 2021 first in the form of a loan from Sassuolo, before permanently joining the Piedmont club which paid 30 million euros.

The midfielder’s contract, 26 caps for the Italian team (3 goals), initially expired in 2026. “Here, I’m like at home,” he explained on his social networks.

Locatelli scored the winning goal (1-0) against AC Milan last month. Juventus is 2nd in the Italian Championship, two points behind the leader, Inter Milan. She faces Cagliari (17th) on Saturday for the 12th day.
