Former Juventus president Andrea Agnelli was sanctioned by the Italian Federation court on Monday. For the case of irregularities in payments to players, the 47-year-old businessman is suspended for 16 months from any football-related activity. He was also fined 60,000 euros.
His resignation in November 2022 had been the natural consequence of the revelation of a “voluntary and repeated alteration of accounting entries”, in the words of the Guarantee College of the Italian Olympic Committee (Coni). In May, the Vieille Damme had been inflicted 10 penalty points in the Serie A classification.
