Australian swimmers broke the world record in the 4x200m freestyle to claim the world title on Thursday in Fukuoka (Japan). Already crowned in the 4x100m freestyle at these Worlds, the Australians (Brianna Throssell, Mollie O’Callaghan, Shayna Jack and Ariarne Titmus) confirm their domination of world swimming by sweeping the previous world record by more than a second , with a time of 7’37”50. The Americans finished 2nd in 7’41”38 and the Chinese third (7’44”40).
