It was at the age of 35 that Mannarino reached the peak of his career in the ATP rankings, after points obtained during the United Cup in Australia, the Frenchman entered the top 20 places for the very first time.

The German Aexander Zverev gained a place in the ATP rankings published on Monday by taking 6th position ahead of the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas.

At the start of the season, Australian Alex de Minaur moved up two places and entered the Top 10, the best ranking of his career at 24 years old. With Australia, he reached the semi-finals of the United Cup last week, a mixed team competition to prepare for the Australian Open, and won by Zverev’s Germany.

Having fallen to 672nd place in the ATP, the Spaniard Rafael Nadal, who made his comeback in Brisbane last week after almost a year marred by injuries, rose to a still anecdotal 451st place (221). Beaten in the third round in Australia, he however had to withdraw from Melbourne, the first Grand Slam tournament of the season, because of a micro muscle tear.
