Tommy Paul and David Goffin faced each other in the semi-final of the Aix-en-Provence tournament this Saturday when an incident disrupted the meeting. In the first set, when the score was four everywhere between the American and the Belgian, a man burst onto the court before positioning himself in front of the net.

“I want to see Mr. Arnaud ClĂ©ment (tournament director, editor’s note) now,” said the man several times, whom a manager wanted to push out. Inflexible and holding his position, the intruder resisted for a few moments before being seized and then accompanied to the exit by tournament security under the whistles of the dumbfounded public.

The match was able to resume by allowing the qualification in two sets of Paul who will face the winner of the meeting between Andy Murray and the Frenchman Harold Mayot.
