Ugo Humbert seems to be back at his best. After ending his 2021 season, physically and mentally affected, the Frenchman returned to 34th place in the ATP world rankings and will play the second masters 1000 quarter-final of his career tomorrow. Facing Wolf, he displayed an excellent level of play which allowed him to easily get rid of his opponent of the day: “I achieved a great performance, with a very high level of play”, satisfied with his performance after the match: ā€œIā€™m very proud, I managed to stay focused from the start to the end of the match.ā€

Thanks to this success, Humbert will return to the top 30 in the world at the end of the tournament. After eliminating the 6th world number Tsitsipas in the previous round, Humbert will therefore continue his journey and reach the quarters. There he will face the winner of the match between Tommy Paul and Andrey Rublev. He had already beaten the Russian last week in Beijing.
