Gael Monfils will not be at Wimbledon. The Frenchman was forced to give up the British Grand Slam due to his left wrist injury which occurred during his stunning victory against Sebastian Baez in the first round of Roland-Garros on May 30.
The 36-year-old player (314th at the ATP) will therefore not tread the London lawn for the second consecutive year. His last match at Wimbledon now dates back to 2021, for a second-round loss to Spaniard Pedro Martinez.
