Veronika Kudermetova (19th in the world) qualified for the final of the WTA 500 tournament in Tokyo by beating, in a hotly contested semi-final between Russians which lasted 3h25, Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (7-6 (8/6), 6- 7 (2/7), 6-3), Saturday.
Kudermetova will face in the final, her second of the year after the one lost on grass in S’Hertogenbosch in June and the sixth of her career, the American Jessica Pegula (4th in the world) or the Greek Maria Sakkari (6th), opposed in the second semi-final.
