Italian Jannik Sinner dominated Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-4, 6-4 in the first meeting of the ATP Masters on Sunday in Turin (Italy).
Sinner, 4th in the world, was never worried by his opponent, 6th in the ATP ranking and winner of the event in 2019.
“My goal for the season was to play these Masters at home, I’m making the most of it. I had a good first match,” said Sinner.
The other meeting of the green group will pit world No.1 and defending champion Novak Djokovic against Dane Holger Rune on Sunday evening (9:00 p.m.).
Djokovic, 36, is aiming for a seventh title in this competition, which would be a new record.
