The words of Pierre Mignoni (manager of Toulon) after the narrow defeat of the RCT on the lawn of the Union Bordeaux-Bègles (22-17):

“In the 2nd half, it seemed to me that we were a little more enterprising. We didn’t have a lot of ammunition but I felt our youth who made a very good comeback, to put them under pressure and score when necessary. We take this test, it’s a shame and then we end up with five points. I’m a little frustrated. There was a lot of courage, aggressiveness. Bordeaux were tenacious, did not give up and scored their chances when necessary, without being very dangerous. They were enterprising and deserve their victory. In the first half, nothing happens, on both sides there is not much. For this block, we can always do better, there were 15 points to take, we take a third. We do as we can with players who are fighting and we will wait to come back from the world to prepare for the second part.
