New Zealand fly-half Jackson Garden-Bachop, U20 international and Maori All Blacks, has signed for two seasons with Brive, which he will join this summer, the Corrèze club, last in the Top 14, announced on Tuesday.

Garden-Bachop, 28, son of former All Black Stephen Bachop (18 caps with Samoa, 5 with New Zealand) and former Black Ferns, Sue Garden, who died in 2008, spent most of of his career with the Hurricanes (Super Rugby) where he was for a time the understudy of Beauden Barrett.

Crowned New Zealand champion with the Wellington Lions in October 2022, Garden-Bachop discovered the Japanese championship in the wake of the Kintetsu Liners club (Japan) last season.

Three days from the end of the Top 14, Brive occupies the last place with 8 points behind Perpignan, 13th and current play-off.
