We already knew the main lines of the 2023-2024 exercise for the Top 14, which will start on the weekend of August 19 and end on the weekend of June 8, with an exceptional break between the 3rd and 4th day for the Cup of the world (September 8 – October 28).
The National Rugby League (LNR) provided details on Wednesday about the schedule of meetings. Several shocks will take place from the 1st day: Montpellier-La Rochelle, Bayonne-Toulouse, Racing-UBB or even LOU-Toulon.
The famous “weekend of the derbies” will take place on November 18, while the reunion between the Toulouse and La Rochelle ogres, finalists in 2023, will take place on the weekend of November 30 in Marcel-Deflandre. The return match will be the weekend of June 1.
As a reminder, the semi-finals will take place in Lille on the weekend of June 22, 2024 and the final will be held at the Vélodrome stadium in Marseille a week later. During the 2024 Six Nations Tournament, there will be three “duplicates” with the championship: February 2-3 (France-Ireland, Matchday 14), February 24-25 (France-Italy, Matchday 16) and February 9 – March 10 (Wales-France, 18th day).
The 10th day during the Christmas and New Year’s period is subject to special programming. Two meetings are scheduled for Friday December 22 (7 p.m. and 9 p.m.) and five the next day between 2 p.m. and 9 p.m. on the occasion of a “Super Saturday rugby”. The 11th day will be an English “Boxing Day”.
Finally, the XV of France will go to Argentina for a tour in the summer of 2024. Two test matches are scheduled against the Pumas on July 6 and 13.
