Top 14: Toulouse renews the Graou-Mallia hinge against Perpignan, several young players launched

Deprived of twelve internationals selected for the Six Nations Tournament, Stade Toulousain travels to Perpignan on Saturday, for the 18th day of the Top 14. For this match, the manager of the Rouge et Noir, Ugo Mola, has decided to renew the Graou-Millia hinge. In the center of the field, Ahki and Costes will form the center pair. As for second-row Fa’asalele, he will be captain.

Toulouse trusts its youth, notably with the first tenure of pillar Marco Trauth (23 years old) and number 8 Mathis Castro-Ferreira (20 years old). The young Kalvin Gourgues (18 years old) continues at the back.

Pierre-Louis Barassi, injured in an ankle during training in Marcoussis with the Blues and released by Fabien Galthié’s staff, is not part of the group. Stade Toulousain is co-leader of the championship, tied on points with Stade Français Paris which travels to La Rochelle.

Note, on the Perpignan side, that Posolo Tuilagi, who was released by the French staff before the trip to Cardiff, is on the substitutes’ bench.
