By winning ahead of his compatriot Danny Van Poppel and Briton Ethan Vernon, Olav Kooij won the third stage of this Tour of Britain on Tuesday, 154.7 km long, between Goole and Beverley.

Overall, Kooij, already winner of the first two stages, retains his leader’s jersey ahead of Van Poppel. The German Max Kanter of Movistar moved up to third place while Van Aert fell from 2nd to 5th position.

On Wednesday, the 166.6 kilometer stage four will take riders through Sherwood Forest and Newark-on-Trent in the Midlands.
