TotalEnergies rider Geoffrey Soupe won the 7th stage of the Tour of Spain cycling on Friday in Oliva, giving France a first stage victory on this Vuelta. At 35, Soupe won in the sprint ahead of Venezuelan Orluis Aular (Caja Rural) and Belgian Edward Theuns (Lidl-Trek), while Australian Kaden Groves, who had won the first two massive sprints of this first week, got locked up before the last few meters.
No change in the general classification: the young Frenchman Lenny Martinez retains the leader’s red jersey.
