German midfielder Niklas Schmidt, 25, has joined Toulouse from German club Werder Bremen until 2026, the Haut-Garonne club announced in a press release on Friday.
Trained at Werder Bremen, Niklas Schmidt played 25 games there last season (3 goals). Able to evolve as a recuperator but also in number 10, he has the particularity of being ambidextrous according to a precision of the TFC.
According to several concordant sources, the amount of the transfer is estimated at 2.5 million euros excluding bonuses.
He is the sixth signing of the TFC since the opening of the transfer window after Venezuelan midfielder Cristian Casseres, Spanish midfielder César Gelabert, Dutch winger Ibrahim Cissoko, Spanish goalkeeper Alejandro Dominguez and striker Frank Magri.
