West Ham have signed Greek defender Konstantinos Mavropanos from Stuttgart for £17m (around €20m), the London club announced on their website on Tuesday.
Mavropanos returns to the Premier League after having already played at Arsenal, with whom he played only seven matches during three seasons until 2022.
The 25-year-old was on loan for two seasons in the Bundesliga at Stuttgart before being permanently transferred there last year. The Athens native has 19 caps for Greece. He will compete with Kurt Zouma, Nayef Aguerd, Angelo Ogbonna and Thilo Kehrer for a place in the West Ham defence.
