International striker Eugénie Le Sommer has extended her contract with Lyon for one year, OL announced on Friday. The 34-year-old player, selected for the France team to compete in the World Cup in New Zealand and Australia this summer, was at the end of her contract and she is again linked to OL until June 30, 2024.

Eugénie Le Sommer arrived in Lyon in 2010 from Saint-Brieuc. In 2021, she also wore the colors of OL Reign in the United States, a club which belongs to Olympique Lyonnais and which also put it up for sale. She is the top scorer in the history of OL Women with 287 goals.

She is also the Rhone club’s second most capped player with 376 matches played. She won eight Champions Leagues, twelve French Championships, nine French Cups and two Champions Trophies.
