The French team qualified for the final of the mixed 4x400m relay at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, finishing 2nd in its series on Saturday morning.
Gilles Biron, Louise Maraval, Téo Andant and Amandine Brossier set a French record in 3:12.25 to finish second behind Dutch favorites led by Femke Bol. They have an appointment in the evening at 9:49 p.m. this Saturday for the final where they will find the United States and Great Britain in particular.
The mixed 4x400m relay has been on the program of major international competitions since the 2019 Worlds in Doha. Shot putter Fred Moudani-Likibi was eliminated in qualifying.
