The American Grant Holloway offered himself a third consecutive world title in the 110m hurdles by flying over the competition in 12”96, the French Sasha Zhoya and Wilhem Belocian ranking sixth and eighth, Monday in Budapest.
Behind Holloway (25), Jamaican Hansle Parchment, reigning Olympic champion, won the silver medal (13”07) and another American, Daniel Roberts, the bronze medal (13”09). Zhoya, a promise of French athletics who was playing his first world final at 21, ranked sixth in 13”26, and Belocian eighth in 13”32.
