The hurdler Cyréna Samba-Mayela qualified for the semi-finals of the 100m hurdles, like her compatriots Benjamin Robert, Gabriel Tual and Yanis Meziane in the 800m, Tuesday evening at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest.

Samba-Mayela, world champion in the 60m hurdles indoors in 2022 took 4th qualifying place in her series in 12 sec 71 (0.1 m/s wind), her second best time, and will see the semis on Wednesday. Laëticia Bapté, on the other hand, was eliminated (5th in her race in 12.93).

The American Kendra Harrison, ex-world record holder, impressed in 12 sec 24 (0.1 m/s), the best world performance of the season and above all the 4th best time of all time.

Gabriel Tual, world and Olympic finalist, Benjamin Robert, silver medalist at the Istanbul Indoor Euro this winter, and Yanis Meziane easily crossed the 800m series milestone, for the semi-finals scheduled for Thursday.
