The events on the track of the National Athletics Center, with seven French people entered, will start at 7 p.m. No French will be on track this Thursday. The sixth day of the World Athletics Championships began at dawn with the 35 km walk won by Spaniard Alvaro Martin in 2h 24 min 30 sec, a Spanish record. The Frenchman Aurélien Quinion counted up to more than thirty seconds ahead of a peloton of pursuers before paying cash the accumulated penalties which led to his disqualification. The other French driver, Kévin Campion, finished fifteenth in 2h 30 min 18 sec.

The day for the French will continue from 7 p.m. with the first series of the 5,000m for Jimmy Gressier, the second for Hugo Hay. From 8:50 p.m., the 800m semi-finals will be in the spotlight with the three Frenchmen Benjamin Robert, Gabriel Tual and finally Yanis Meziane.
