Australian Cameron McEvoy was crowned world champion in the 50m freestyle on Saturday in Fukuoka (Japan), his first planetary title.
The 29-year-old swimmer won without shaking in 21 sec 06/100, five tenths ahead of American Jack Alexy and Briton Benjamin Proud.
McEvoy gleans gold for the first time in his career after an individual silver medal in the 100m freestyle at the Worlds in Kazan (Russia) in 2015.
